Na busca por soluções de conflitos globais destacam-se as organizações internacionais, em especial a ONU. Esta pesquisa, de caráter descritivo, trata desta OIG, do seu histórico e aspectos gerais, tendo como foco o processo de tomada de decisão da Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas (AGNU), por ser a mais representativa no cenário mundial, competente para examinar quaisquer temas e contar com 193 Estados, o que a torna indicada para tomar decisões mais complexas e abrangentes. Os dados foram obtidos principalmente no site oficial da organização, em especial na Carta da ONU e no Regulamento da Assembleia Geral (RAG). Conclui-se que o procedimento para tomada de decisão na AGNU possui uma metodologia minuciosa e conta com a participação dos seus órgãos, comissões e subcomissões, pois os temas passam por análises e debates antes de ser examinados pela Assembleia.||In search for solutions to global conflicts, international organizations stood out, in particular the UN. This research, with descriptive character, is about this international governmental organization, its historical and general aspects, focused on the process to take decisions of the General Assembly of United Nations, because it is the most representative on world, with competence to look over any subjects and it has the participation of 193 States, making it indicated to take decisions more complex and broad. The dates obtained mainly on organization official’s site, especially on the UN Charter and on the Rules of Procedure of General Assembly and other information. Concludes that the procedure takes decisions of the General Assembly has a thorough methodology and contains the participations of its organs, commissions and subcommittees because the subjects were analyze and discuss before to be examining of the Assembly.
