A partir da relação entre o corpo do filme e o corpo do espectador em filmes como O médico e o monstro (Mamoulian, 1931) e A dama do lago (Montgomery, 1946), este artigo pretende investigar as relações entre som, imagem e a construção de diferentes modos de se reportar ao “real”. Tendo como fundo a suposta paridade entre mecanismos perceptivos humanos e aqueles do aparato cinematográfico, o texto buscará, a partir dos discursos estético e técnico-científico adotados pelo cinema, uma identificação de práticas e estruturas de pensamento acerca da representação do corpo no cinema como inseparável de um contexto histórico-cultural. Outros conceitos importantes, como “fidelidade”, “ponto de vista” e “ponto de escuta” são discutidos, incluindo-se alguns outros filmes de diferentes períodos.Palavras-Chave: cinema, corpo, tecnologias cinematográficas, realismo.Abstract: Based on the relationship between the body of the film and the body of the spectator in films such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Mamoulian) and The Lady in the Lake (Montgomery), this article examines the interaction between sound, image and the construction of different modes to address the “real”. Based on the supposed parity between human perceptual mechanisms and those of the cinematographic apparatus, as well as the aesthetic and technical-scientific discourses adopted by cinema, this text identifies practices and structures of thought regarding the representation of the body in film as inseparable from their historical-cultural context.
