In this text we intend to sketch an analysis of Goan cultural and literary production around the time of the end of colonialism in Portuguese India in 1961, through the analysis of the journals A Vida, Diário da Noite and O Heraldo. We will analyze the editorials and poetry of these newspapers to examine the different readings on Goan identity in the context of the turbulent transition process of Postcolonial Goa, scrutinizing the several relations between the political and cultural field.||Neste texto pretendemos esboçar uma análise da produção cultural e literária goesa em torno do momento do fim do colonialismo na Índia Portuguesa em 1961, por meio da análise dos periódicos A Vida, Diário da Noite e O Heraldo. Analisaremos os editoriais e poesias destes jornais para perscrutar as diferentes leituras sobre a identidade goesa no quadro do turbulento processo de transição da Goa Pós-colonial, esmiuçando as diversas relações entre o campo político e cultural.
