This article reinforces in the present time, the expanded dynamics of financial capital is intensified, the importance of the method of historical dialectical materialism based on the theoretical rigor of Marx’s social theory, and its incorporation and deepening by the Brazilian Social Service. In this sense, the article proposes, through a literature review in this theoretical-cultural tradition, to deepen the discussion between the fundamentals of Marxism and the consolidation of the Project Political Ethical of Social Service, in the apprehension of the theory / practice unit based on dialectical reason.||Este artigo reforça no tempo presente, onde se intensifica a dinâmica ampliada do capital financeiro, a importância do método do materialismo histórico dialético a partir do rigor teórico da teoria social de Marx, e sua incorporação e aprofundamento pelo Serviço Social brasileiro. Neste sentido, o artigo propõe, por meio de uma revisão de literatura nessa tradição teórico-cultural, adensar a discussão entre os fundamentos do marxismo e a consolidação do Projeto Ético Político do Serviço Social, na apreensão da unidade teoria/prática fundamentada na razão dialética.
