This article deals with the analysis of the academic trajectory of former scholarship holders of the Institutional Scientific Initiation Program - High School - PIBIC-EM, within the scope of High School Technical Courses, from the Federal Institute of Paraná, Campus Curitiba, from 2011 to 2017 It aims to investigate whether participation in PIBIC-EM helped to continue academic studies or whether it brought benefits in relation to the world of work and, also, to resume, briefly, the concepts of work as an educational principle and, also, the importance of research as an educational principle. With regard to methodological aspects, this is a case study, where an online questionnaire was applied to graduates of the program. The results point out the importance of PIBIC for initial training and that former alumni see participation in PIBIC as responsible for initiating research, contributing to the construction of practical knowledge for the verticalization of teaching and access to the world of work.
Recebido em: 04/02/2020.Aprovado em: 11/03/2020.||Este artigo trata da análise da trajetória acadêmica de ex-bolsistas do Programa Institucional de Iniciação Científica – Ensino Médio – PIBIC-EM, no âmbito dos Cursos Técnicos de Ensino Médio, do Instituto Federal do Paraná, Campus Curitiba, no período de 2011 a 2017. Tem como objetivo investigar se a participação no PIBIC-EM auxiliou na continuidade dos estudos acadêmicos ou se trouxe benefícios em relação ao mundo do trabalho e, ainda, retomar, de forma breve, os conceitos do trabalho enquanto princípio educativo e, também, a importância da pesquisa como princípio educativo. No que se refere aos aspectos metodológicos trata-se de um estudo de caso, onde foi aplicado um questionário online a egressos do programa. Os resultados apontam a importância do PIBIC para a formação inicial e que os egressos ex-bolsistas veem a participação no PIBIC como responsável na iniciação à pesquisa contribuindo na construção de conhecimentos práticos para a verticalização do ensino e acesso ao mundo do trabalho.
