The present research proposes an investigation on the figure of the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, considered one of the Masters of the Modern Movement and one of the precursors of the International Style. More specifically, it intends to investigate the aspects related to the influence of Mies van der Rohe in São Paulo territory. With this, it is desired to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the disciplinary field of the history of the architecture, investigating aspects little explored of the figure of the architect yet.The in-depth study of his interaction with modern Brazilian architectural production will be developed through successive steps of approaching the theme, from the general to the particular. In the first place, more general aspects related to the figure of Mies van der Rohe and his practices will be analyzed. Subsequently, the intercurrent relations between the master and the Brazilian architectural panorama will be investigated. And the subsequent stage will involve a detailed study of works considered emblematic of the influence of the architect in the São Paulo range.||A presente pesquisa propõe uma investigação da figura do arquiteto Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, considerado um dos Mestres do Movimento Moderno e um dos precursores do Estilo Internacional. Mais especificamente, pretende-se investigar os aspectos ligados à influência de Mies van der Rohe em território paulista. Com isso, deseja-se contribuir ao avanço do conhecimento no campo disciplinar da história da arquitetura, investigando aspectos ainda pouco explorados da figura do arquiteto.O estudo aprofundado de sua interação com a produção arquitetônica brasileira moderna será desenvolvido por meio de sucessivas etapas de aproximação ao tema, do geral ao particular. Em primeiro lugar analisar-se-ão aspectos mais gerais, ligados à figura de Mies van der Rohe e às suas práticas. Sucessivamente investigar-se-ão as relações intercorrentes entre o mestre e o panorama arquitetônico brasileiro. E etapa subsequente envolverá o estudo detalhado de obras consideradas emblemáticas da influência do arquiteto no âmbito paulista.
