AbstractAfter archbishop Ambosio Spínola y Guzmán´s death in 1684, Jaime de Palafox y Cardona, still head of the church in Palermo, succeeded him as the máximum authority in Seville´s clergy. Not only did the prelate want to introduce Seville´s parishioners to the Sicilian dovition to Saint Rosalie, but he also was interested in showing the aesthetic sensitivity, which he received in Sicily to the new city.||Tras el fallecimiento del arzobispo Ambrosio Spinola y Guzmán en 1684 le sucedió en la mitra hispalense Jaime de Palafox y Cardona, que había ocupado hasta aquel entonces la silla de Palermo.
