This text intends to present a few themes about proof for the existence of God in St. Anselm's “Proslogion”. Firstly it seeks to characterize one of the aspects of the intellectual situation in the Eleventh Century, that is, Roscelin and Anselm's dispute over the problem of universals, important to situate Doctor Magnificus’ realism. It is followed by a summary of the proof for the existence of God in the Monologion, and by the ontological argument as well. ||Este texto pretende apresentar alguns temas acerca da prova de existência de Deus no Proslogion, de Santo Anselmo. Num primeiro instante, buscou-se a caracterização de um dos aspectos da situação intelectual de séc. XI: a disputa de Roscelino e Anselmo sobre o problema dos Universais, importante para situar o realismo do Doutor Magnífico. Posteriormente, uma breve exposição das provas da existência de Deus no Monologion e, por fim, a apresentação do argumento ontológico.
