O artigo aborda os espetáculos realizados pelo Teatro Oficina, sob direção de José Celso Martinez Corrêa, criados a partir do livro Os Sertões, de Euclides da Cunha. O texto recorre à alusão que os espetáculos fazem às vegetações típicas das regiões secas do país e à montanha conhecida como Monte Santo para reunir, em torno dessas referências específicas, alguns dos temas tratados nas obras e alguns dos procedimentos criativos das peças.||This article discusses the spectacles performed by Teatro Oficina, under the direction of José Celso Martinez Corrêa, based on the novel Os sertões, by Euclides da Cunha. This paper approaches the reference that the spectacles make to the typical vegetation of the dry regions of the country and to the mountain known as Monte Santo, to gather some of the themes addressed and some of the creative procedures of the plays around these specific references.
