RESUMOTal como ocorreu nos principais centros urbanos do país, como o eixo Rio-São Paulo, o Rio Grande do Sul caracterizou-se, durante a década de 1970, pela emergência de um ideário jovem rebelde e contestatório que, orientado pelos ideais contraculturais, influenciou de modo significativo o cenário cultural do Estado, especialmente no que se refere ao aspecto musical. Nesse sentido, este trabalho busca analisar a trajetória da banda de rock pelotense Os Almôndegas, e sua relação com os ideais contraculturais que chegavam ao Rio Grande do Sul durante aqueles anos. Mesclando influências regionais com características da música popular brasileira, somadas às referências sonoras e comportamentais internacionais, Os Almôndegas construíram uma identidade própria, bastante distinta das demais bandas do período, em especial, devido às opções estéticas feitas pelo grupo nos aspectos poético e sonoro de suas composições.ABSTRACTAs occurred in the main urban centers of the country, such as the Rio-São Paulo axis, Rio Grande do Sul was characterized, during the 1970s, by the emergence of a young and rebellious ideology that, guided by countercultural ideals, it significantly influenced the state’s cultural scene, especially with regard to the musical aspect. In this sense, this work seeks to analyze the trajectory of the rock band from the city of Pelotas, Os Almôndegas, and their relationship with the countercultural ideals that arrived in Rio Grande do Sul during those years. Mixing regional influences with characteristics of Brazilian popular music, added to the international sound and behavioral references, Os Almôndegas built their own identity, quite different from the other bands of the period, especially due to the aesthetic options used by the group in the poetic and sound aspects of their compositions.
