The essay presents a brief summary of the main tendencies concerning the contemporary literary criticism aiming to, concurrently, acquire the route displacement of the literary theory in the XX century in relation to the theoretical outlook of the XIX century. Among the focused approaches, it is highlighted, due to the importance and fecundity of their points of view, the Aesthetics of Reception (Jauss) and his theoretical deviation, the Aesthetics of Effect (Iser).
Keywords: Critical tendencies, XIX and XX centuries.||O ensaio apresenta um quadro sucinto das principais tendências da crítica literária contemporânea, buscando, concomitantemente, apreender o deslocamento de rumos da teoria da literatura no séc. XX em relação ao panorama teórico do séc.XIX. Entre as abordagens focalizadas, enfatiza-se, pela importância e fecundidade de suas posições, a Estética da Recepção (Jauss) e sua variante teórica, a Estética do Efeito (Iser).
