The research discusses the process of creation of the chapiters (small oratories) in the locality of Boa Esperança, municipality of Rolante (RS). The main objective of the study is to analyze the context in which these constructions in the Italian-riograndense of Boa Esperança community are given, as well as the different meanings that the images present in these spaces feature. Also we analyze the relationship between these chapiters and the notions of identity, religion and ethnicity, present in the context of Boa Esperança Colony, which currently developes a tourism project known as the Way of Pipas. Thus, the study deepens the discussion on the dynamics surrounding the ressignification of these places considered sacred by the community, from its creation to the present day.||A pesquisa discute o processo de criação dos capitéis (pequenos oratórios) na localidade de Boa Esperança, município de Rolante (RS). O objetivo principal do estudo é analisar o contexto em que se deram essas construções na comunidade ítalo-riograndense da Boa Esperança, bem como os diferentes significados que as imagens presentes nesses espaços apresentam. Analisamos ainda a relação desses capitéis com as noções de identidade, religiosidade e etnicidade, presentes no contexto da Colônia Boa Esperança, que atualmente desenvolve um projeto turístico conhecido como Caminho das Pipas. Dessa forma, o estudo aprofunda a discussão sobre a dinâmica que envolve a ressignificação desses lugares, considerados sagrados pela comunidade, desde sua criação até os dias atuais.
