O artigo destaca e comenta duas discussões muito específicas sobre a banda de rock inglesa The Fall. A partir daí, tenta aproximá-las ao debate sobre o rock feito no Rio Grande do Sul, a partir da década de 1980. Basicamente, é um estudo exploratório, que se vale de resenhas críticas e levantamentos bibliográficos iniciais para refinar ângulos analíticos e testar questões a serem problematizadas no interior de um projeto de investigação recém-iniciado.Palavras-chave: The Fall, Mark E. So, it tries to bring them to the debate on the rock music done in Rio Grande do Sul State, since the 1980s. Basically, it is an exploratory study, which relies on critical and initial bibliographic reviews to refine analytical angles and test issues to be problematized inside a newly started research project.Keywords: The Fall, Mark E.
