The present study displays the several characters lived by Flora Instan duning her life: the traveller, the journalist and the woman. Her female character provides some of the most relevant experiences that contributed to the formation of a feminine identity in the contemporary society, namely motherhood, marriage and amorous relationships. The emphasis on the traveller character reveals Flora Tristan's trips as a privileged experience that accounts for her intellectual growth, as well as the important role they displayed in her personal life. The socialist character is built upon the historical scenery and political ideology that influenced Flora as well as an entire generation.||The present study displays the several characters lived by Flora Instan duning her life: the traveller, the journalist and the woman. The socialist character is built upon the historical scenery and political ideology that influenced Flora as well as an entire generation.||O presente artigo é orientado segundo as diversas figuras vividas por Flora Tristan durante sua vida: viajante, socialista e mulher, sendo que neste momento daremos mais ênfase a figura de viajante. A figura feminina traça algumas vivências formadoras da identidade feminina na sociedade, tais como: casamento e relação amorosa. A ênfase na figura de viajante revela o espaço da viagem como um lugar privilegiado para o amadurecimento intelectual de Flora Tristan, além de ter sido palco para experiências de ordem pessoal da autora. A figura de socialista é construída a partir do contexto histórico e o ideário político de Flora e de sua geração.
