To focusing analysis on the changing of political power from power of the Church given by the warrior nobility, relating to power of the princes and the conquest of the political power by civilians, this research seeks to study the European dynamics into formation of the modern state. To this end, it’s based on the fact that in the eighteenth century, in some parts of Europe, the professional political – can be read civilian politics – supported by the bourgeoisie stifled monarchical power and laid the foundations of the form of modern states. Usually, issues such as territory, people and languages have become a guideline in the formation of states. Because of the complexity of these issues that the consolidation of modern state in Europe gained meaning just at the dawn of nineteenth century. Which means the word “State” acquired conceptual meaning in use since that century.||Ao centrar a análise nas transformações do poder político a partir do poder da Igreja exercido pela nobreza guerreira, passando pelo poder dos príncipes até a conquista do poder político por civis, o presente artigo busca analisar a dinâmica europeia na formação do Estado moderno. Para tal, parte da constatação de que no bojo do século XVIII, em algumas partes da Europa o político profissional – pode ler-se político civil – apoiado pela burguesia sufocou o poder monárquico e assentou as bases da formação dos estados modernos. Comumente, as questões como território, povo e língua transformaram-se em pauta na formação dos estados. Foi devido a complexidades dessas questões que a consolidação dos estados modernos na Europa ganhou significado apenas no dealbar do século XIX. Ou seja, a palavra “Estado” adquiriu o significado conceitual atualmente em uso a partir desse século.
