In this article we are going to deal with the Bible that is being translated for the Portuguese language by Frederico Lourenço from the Greek texts, studying specially the volumes that have already been published in Brazil by Companhia das Letras. Our analysis deals with the materiality of the book as well as the peculiarities of this specific translation and its paratextual issues, offering a current discussion about some topics which would be interesting in biblical researches, for the literary critics in general and for those that want do study the Brazilian publishing scene.
