The text aims to present the categorial path that in the Hegel’s Philosophy of Law drives to the concept of State. Even in a tangential way, it also presents a brief correspondence with the Encyclopedia (Science of logic). Considering that the Abstract Right and the Morality are both formal and subjective determinations, Hegel states that only the Ethnicity is able to – within the classical dialectic triduum – actualize the personality and subjectivity. However, from the property to State there is an itinerary of search for content that is mediated by institutions. From a methodological point of view, the text is mostly analytic and remakes the path which was traced by Hegel in the Philosophy of Law and offering clarifications that were coined by the secondary literature.||O texto tem por objetivo apresentar o caminho categorial que, na Filosofia do Direito de Hegel, conduz ao conceito de Estado. Ainda que de forma tangencial, também apresenta uma breve correspondência com o texto da Enciclopédia (Ciência da Lógica). Considerando que o Direito Abstrato e a Moralidade são determinações ora formais, ora subjetivas, Hegel estabelece que apenas a Eticidade é capaz, dentro do tríduo dialético clássico, de concretizar a personalidade e a subjetividade. Portanto, desde a categoria de propriedade (a primeira expressão da liberdade ainda formal) até a noção de Estado há um itinerário de busca por conteúdo que é mediado nas instituições. Do ponto de vista metodológico, o texto é eminentemente analítico, perfazendo o caminho traçado por Hegel na Filosofia do Direito e oferecendo esclarecimentos cunhados pela literatura secundária.
