The purpose of this text is to demonstrate that it has been primarily through the writing of female authorship that the woman, overtime, has becoming aware of itself and has imposed upon others as being equal. Assuming the French philosopher and mathematicianRené Descartes’ premise “Cogito, ergo sum” (I think, therefore I am) I build my own premise “I write, therefore I am” that embodiesthe role of writing in the emancipator process of women and their access to power through the word.||Neste texto objetivo demonstrar que tem sido, fundamentalmente, por meio da escrita de autoria feminina, que a mulher, ao longodos tempos, tem tomado consciência de si e se tem imposto aos outros como ser igual. Partindo da premissa do filósofo e matemático francês René Descartes “Cogito, ergo sum” (penso, logo existo), construo a minha própria premissa “escrevo, logo existo”, que consubstancia o papel da escrita no processo emancipatório das mulheres e, consequentemente, no acesso ao poder através da palavra.
