O resto emana de toda e qualquer operação simbólica realizada pelo sujeito. É ao mesmo tempo o que o causa e o que mutila o projeto de completude. Os efeitos desta operação são percebidos em todo movimento realizado em direção ao campo do laço social. Este trabalho esboça a importância do resto enquanto um conceito que expressa a radicalidade do sujeito diante o mal-estar que lhe acompanha a partir do campo da linguagem. O ser da linguagem é o ser do sentido, mas também o ser da finitude. Estas afirmações podem ser tomadas na atualidade a partir dos lançamentos que o cinema vem protagonizando com as imagens da hiper-realidade do terror que irrompe o doméstico. A intenção é trazer à discussão, a magnitude do resto como um conceito fundamental da psicanálise e sua iniludível presença nas ações dos discursos e da técnica que tentam aprendê-lo a todo custo. It is both what causes it and what also destroys any project of wholeness. The effects of such operation are seen in every movement toward the realm of the social tie. This paper outlines the importance of the rest as a concept that expresses the radicalism of the subject before the malaise that accompanied him as a result of being trespassed by the language. The being of language is the being of the sense, but it also the being of finitude. These statements are exemplified nowadays by the new releases from the movies with images of hyper-reality of terror that break through the known and familiar world. The intention is to bring to the discussion the magnitude of the rest as a fundamental concept of psychoanalysis and its inescapable presence in the actions of the discourses and technique which try to apprehend it at all costs.
