Centramos nossa atenção na primeira temporada da série The Affair. Nosso objetivo é identificar variações e permanências na construção narrativa desse produto cultural, ao mesmo tempo em que levantamos as representações construídas nesse espaço e os sentidos que emergem de seus discursos. Em termos metodológicos, empreendemos uma pesquisa bibliográfica seguida de análise documental, a qual se dá desde o prisma da análise de discurso francesa e dos preceitos dos estudos da narrativa. Concluímos tratar-se de uma narrativa complexa e metalinguística cuja contribuição está em apontar para a relativização dos pontos de vista e para as imperfeições dos atores sociais.||We focused our attention on the first season of The Affair series. Our goal is to identify variations and permanences in the narrative construction of this cultural product; at the same time we aim to raise the representations built in this space and the senses that emerge from their discourses. In methodological terms, we undertake a bibliographical research followed by documentary analysis, which takes place from the prism of French discourse analysis and from the precepts of narrative studies. We conclude that this is a complex and metalinguistic narrative whose contribution is to point to the relativization of points of view and to the imperfections of social actors.
