The objective of this article is to analyze the process of formation of the first cabarets of the old gate and the transformation in zone of low prostitution in Tianguá-Ceará. In that movement, elements are sought that come to propitiate images and characters' vestiges that permeated the universe of the plots uncoiled in the prostitution among the first years of the gate, in the decade of 1950, until the closing of the “zone”, in 2002.||O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o processo de formação dos primeiros cabarés da antiga cancela e a transformação em zona de baixo meretrício em Tianguá-Ceará. Nesse movimento, procuram-se elementos que venham propiciar imagens e vestígios de personagens que permearam o universo das tramas desenroladas no meretrício entre os primeiros anos da cancela, na década de 1950, até o fechamento da “zona”, em 2002.
