In this paper we intend to shed some light on a few selected examples of uses of the Athenian comic poetry by the imperial sophists. For that we first place the imperial sophistic works in their historical context and, then, we analyze briefly a few specific cases in the works of, for example, Lucian, Dio Chrysostom, Favorinus and Choricius. We hope that this work reveals something about the ways of the literary mimesis under the Empire, understanding the intersection between rhetoric and literature.||No presente artigo, buscamos colocar em evidência alguns exemplos de usos feitos pelos sofistas imperiais da comédia ática clássica. Para isso, primeiro alocamos a produção sofística imperial em seu contexto histórico e, depois, analisamos brevemente casos específicos nas obras de, por exemplo, Luciano, Díon Crisóstomo, Favorino e Corício. Esperamos que o trabalho revele algo sobre os modos da mimesis literária no Império, contribuindo para o entendimento da intersecção entre retórica e literatura nesse período.
