Orientador: Marcius César Soares Freire||Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: Este trabalho tem como base os Bonnie & Clyde films e propõe a ampliação dos estudos sobre as relações de poder entre a masculinidade e a feminilidade, e como elas se relacionam com a criminalidade e com a violência nesses filmes. Neste sentido, propomos a análise de seis filmes: Mortalmente perigosa (Gun crazy, 1949), de Joseph H. Lewis; The Bonnie Parker story (1958), de William Witney; Bonnie & Clyde (1967), Arthur Penn; Renegados até a última rajada (Thieves like us, 1974), de Robert Altman; Thelma & Louise (1991), de Ridley Scott; e, por fim, Assassinos por natureza (Natural born killers, 1994), de Oliver Stone. Partindo do estudo aprofundado de obras sobre a representação de gênero no cinema, sobre as mudanças e rupturas na constituição familiar no século XX, sobre a violência fílmica e como ela influenciou na composição da narrativa desses filmes. A proposta é estudar como mulheres e homens recusam a estrutura familiar tradicional e burguesa, rejeitando a limitação do espaço doméstico e suas normas sociais buscando na criminalidade e no espírito libertador e transgressor da estrada uma forma de renegociar as barreiras de gênero (para mulheres) e realizar a sua masculinidade por meio da violência (para homens). Esta pesquisa nos permitirá investigar, também, como a violência feminina é capaz de desestabilizar a ordem social tradicional e, mais ainda, desestabilizar a própria constituição da masculinidade quando compreendemos que a violência em si é uma característica que está comumente associada à figura masculina||Abstract: This work is based on the Bonnie & Clyde films and proposes to broaden the studies on the relations of power between masculinity and femininity, and how it is related to crime and violence in these films. In this sense, we propose the analysis of six films: Joseph H. Lewis¿s Gun Crazy (1949); William Witney¿s The Bonnie Parker story (1958); Arthur Penn¿s Bonnie & Clyde (1967); Robert Altman¿s Thieves like us (1974); Ridley Scott¿s Thelma & Louise (1991); and, finally, Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers (1994). Starting from the in-depth study of works on the representation of gender in cinema, the changes and ruptures in the family constitution ofthe twentieth century, the filmic violence studies and how it influences the composition of the narrative in these films. Our proposal is to study how women and men reject the traditional and bourgeois family structure, rejecting the limitation of the domestic sphere and its social norms by seeking in the criminality and the liberating and transgressing spirit of the road a way of renegotiating the gender barriers (for women) and perform their masculinity through violence (for men). This research allows us to investigate how female violence can destabilize the traditional social order and, furthermore, destabilize the very constitution of masculinity when we understand that violence itself is a characteristic that is commonly associated with the male figure||Mestrado||Multimeios||Mestra em Multimeios||1644983||CAPES
