Orientador: Suzi Frankl Sperber||Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: A presente dissertação pretende analisar aspectos da tragédia moderna e do cômico na peça A Empresa, escrita por Hilda Hilst, e procura estabelecer um diálogo com a teoria da mise en abyme, pois é através deste recurso linguístico que se instaura a tragédia na vida da personagem América. O texto se caracteriza pela inevitável destruição da personagem provocada pelo seu alto potencial reflexivo e de imaginação. Assim como os elementos estéticos da tragédia moderna utilizados em sua construção, encontramos referências do riso, do humor, que ajudam a compor a noção de texto trágico com traços do cômico nessa dramaturgia. Sendo assim, a tessitura teatral da autora potencializa o "mundo do texto" lançando mão de recursos trágicos e cômicos, para apontar um aspecto em específico contido no interior da obra, como: o entendimento do mundo, as personagens e a teatralidade presente na dramaturgia||Abstract: This dissertation intends to analyze aspects of modern tragedy and comedy in the play A Empresa, written by Hilda Hilst , and seeks to establish a dialogue with the theory of mise en abyme as it is through this linguistic resource that is established in the tragedy character's life America. The text is characterized by the inevitable destruction of the character caused by their reflexive potential and imagination. As well as the aesthetic elements of tragedy used in its construction, we found the sarcastic laughter references, which help make up the notion of tragic text with comic traces of this drama. Thus, the fabric of theatrical author enhances the "text World " making use of tragic and comic resources , to point out one aspect in particular contained within the work , as the understanding of the world of the characters and the theatricality in this drama||Mestrado||Teatro, Dança e Performance||Mestra em Artes da Cena
