A presente tese se volta à investigação de trânsitos produzidos na relação entre imagem e História da Moda e a exploração de suas potencialidades como recurso pedagógico para educadores do campo da Moda. Os pressupostos que mobilizam esta pesquisa estão alicerçados na premissa de que uma aproximação das imagens de modo crítico e responsável é relevante tanto para seus educadores quanto para os estudantes em formação. Objetiva-se questionar e desnaturalizar aspectos concernentes à produção de conhecimento em História da Moda a partir das imagens que a compõem. Volto-me, então, às imagens tradicionais da História da Moda como forma de interrogar posicionamentos que constituem o conhecimento neste campo de saber e, consequentemente, provocar outras articulações, conexões e experiências. As bases teórico-conceituais que delineiam esta proposição encontram subsídios nos estudos da Cultura Visual a partir das propostas de W.J.T. Mitchell, Paul Duncum, Imanol Aguirre, Raimundo Martins. Como forma de estruturar tais reflexões e ampliar os debates relacionados a práticas do ver no campo, foram organizados três eixos teórico-conceituais – chamados de Elementos Norteadores – que se propõe a abordar os tópicos: imagem e poder, imagem e intertextualidade e imagem e subjetividade. As questões levantadas a partir desses três eixos reflexivos mostraram-se proveitosas para o aprofundamento de temas relacionados à produção de sentido no campo.||The present thesis focuses on the investigation of transits produced in the relation between image and History of Fashion and the exploration of its potentialities as a pedagogical resource for educators of the Fashion field. The assumptions that mobilize this research are based on the premise that an approximation of the images in a critical and responsible way is relevant both for educators and for the students in formation. It aims to question and denaturalize aspects concerning the production of knowledge in Fashion History from the images that compose it. I turn, then, to the traditional images of the History of Fashion as a way of interrogating positions that constitute the knowledge in this field and, consequently, to provoke other articulations, connections and experiences. The theoretical-conceptual bases that delineate this proposition find subsidies in the studies of Visual Culture from the proposals of W.J.T. Mitchell, Paul Duncum, Imanol Aguirre, Raimundo Martins. As a way of structuring these reflections and broadening the debates related to the practices of seeing in the field, three theoretical-conceptual axes - called "Steering Elements" - have been organized to address the topics: image and power, image and intertextuality, and image and subjectivity.
