Orientador: Luise Weiss||Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: GRAVURA - MEMÓRIA - FOTOGRAFIA O hábito de olhar álbuns de fotos antigas na minha infância, foi o início de um olhar atento que procuraria por vestígios das pessoas ali retratadas. Aqueles álbuns me chamaram a atenção, eram registros de uma vida inteira colada em páginas cartonadas, para serem vistas por gerações. Absorvendo aquelas imagens e as sensações que elas me provocavam, entrei em contato com um material, que no futuro serviria como suporte para aquelas imagens. O feltro, povoava minha infância, e quando adulto, li sobre o piloto de avião que sobreviveu ao frio, porque foi embrulhado em feltro e gordura. Como o calor que as imagens familiares nos provocam e a vontade de preservá-las, dando continuidade a seus percursos, protegendo-as da devastação do tempo A tentativa de outorgar uma sobrevida as imagens que nos povoam, seja através dos papéis, fotos, feltros coloridos, cheiros, da entrada da arte na vida, me fazem querer juntar todo este conjunto de achados. De constituir uma ordem, de dar nomes a esta genealogia imaginária. Misturados a esse interesse, a pintura e os trabalhos em madeira, constituindo um corpo de trabalho que se entrelaça, formando uma floresta densa de galhos, espinhos e algumas flores. As gravuras atuais, registram a sobrevivência das imagens dos rostos, corpos e plantas. Tudo se ilumina e percebo como as imagens vão e voltam, até um momento que começam a sumir lentamente, pedindo que um novo ciclo de preservação se instale, dando início a um percurso infinito||Abstract: PRINT - MEMORY - PHOTOGRAPHY The habit of looking at old photo albums in my childhood was the beginning of a watchful eye that would search for traces of the people portrayed there. Those albums caught my attention, were records of a lifetime pasted on cartoned pages, to be seen for generations. Absorbing those images and the sensations they caused me, I came into contact with a material, which in the future would serve as support for those images.The felt, populated my childhood, and as an adult, I read about the plane pilot who survived the cold, because it was wrapped in felt and grease. As the warmth that the familiar images provoke us and the will to preserve them, giving continuity to their paths, protecting them from the devastation of time.The attempt to grant a survival to the images that populate us, whether through the papers, photos, felts colorful, smells, from the entrance of art into life, make me want to join this whole set of finds. To constitute an order, to give names to this imaginary genealogy. Mixed with this interest, the painting and the works in wood, constituting a body of work that intertwines, forming a dense forest of twigs, thorns and some flowers. The current engravings record the survival of the images of faces, bodies and plants. Everything lights up and I see how the images come and go, until a moment that begins to disappear slowly, asking that a new cycle of preservation be installed, beginning an infinite course||Doutorado||Artes Visuais||Doutor em Artes Visuais
